Soomaa National Park was established on the 6 th. of Dec. 1993.
Despite its young age, Soomaa NP has significant achievements it is a Ramsar area, part of Natura 2000 network and one of Important Bird Areas (IBAs)
On its sixteenth birthday another international recognition – PanParks
membership has issued to Soomaa. Soomaa NP will become a member of pan-European network of protected areas standing for European Wilderness.
In this context we would like to thank park’s partners, supporters and friends,
